Minutes of the Casablanca HOA Communications Meeting Nov. 9. 2010

The meeting was called to order at pool # 4 by Syd Sonneborn. The meeting started at 10:00 AM. Approximately 19 homeowners were present.

Syd announced that there was no special program for the meeting and launched into the owners? forum right away. He started by giving the floor to Board President, Gail Christiansen. She responded that the mail box proposal will be addressed at the November Board meeting. The meeting on December 2, with the City Council concerning the Portofino issues along with members of Silver Sands and Portofino was mentioned. They hope to meet again with the City Council again at its next regular meeting. Homeowners brought up providing conformity in time clocks at all four pools and reseeding rye grass in shaded areas. The need for a hand rail going up the center of the steps leading up to pool #4 from Calle Bisque for physically challenged members was introduced. Paul Meltzner brought up the idea that the proposed Board Member Commitment Pledge and Board Member Code of Ethics philosophically should be discussed and voted upon at the Annual Meeting. A long discussion involving many of the members present ensued and took up much of the remaining meeting time. Much of the discussion centered on the purpose and intent of these two issues. Confusion over the philosophy for the need for such policies for board members as well as support for them were voiced.

The meeting was adjourned by Syd at 10:45 AM
